The Alcorn State Lady Braves women's basketball team represents Alcorn State University in NCAA Division I competition as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), based in Lorman, Mississippi. The program has competed since the 1981–82 season, compiling an all-time record of 605 wins and 648 losses, and has won 10 SWAC regular-season championships and six conference tournament titles. The Lady Braves have made three NCAA Tournament appearances, all resulting in first-round losses, with the most recent coming in 2004–05. After nearly two decades without a postseason appearance, the program showed renewed momentum in 2025–26 by earning a WNIT bid, its first postseason appearance since 2004–05. In 2024–25, they reached the SWAC Tournament championship game before falling to Southern. Under head coach Nate Kilbert, Alcorn State continues to rebuild its standing as a competitive SWAC program.
