Eddie 9V — born Brooks Mason in June 1996 near Atlanta, Georgia — is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist, one of the most exciting and rapidly ascending voices in contemporary Southern soul, blues, rock, and funk. He began playing guitar at six, and by his teenage years at Union Grove High School was studying Atlanta blues legend Sean Costello alongside classic masters Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, and Rory Gallagher.
