About Jacksonville Dolphins Men's Basketball

The Jacksonville Dolphins men's basketball team represents Jacksonville University in NCAA Division I competition as a member of the ASUN Conference, playing home games at Swisher Gymnasium in Jacksonville, Florida. The program has a proud history highlighted by a remarkable run to the 1970 NCAA Championship Game, led by future Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore, making Jacksonville one of the most memorable Cinderella stories in tournament history. The Dolphins have made five NCAA Tournament appearances with a combined record of 4 wins and 5 losses, most recently in 1986. More recently, the program has shown renewed competitiveness under head coach Jordan Mincy, finishing 18-12 in 2024-25 and earning a CBI Tournament bid. With notable alumni including Artis Gilmore and a tradition dating back decades, Jacksonville continues to build on its storied basketball legacy within the ASUN Conference.
