About Keith Lockhart

Keith Lockhart became the 20th Conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra in 1995 at just 35 — the same age Arthur Fiedler was when he took the post in 1930 — following in the footsteps of Fiedler and John Williams. Three decades on, his tenure encompasses more than 2,500 performances, nearly 50 national tours to over 150 cities, five international tours and 80 television shows, plus collaborations with close to 300 guest artists from classical, rock, jazz, Broadway and Hollywood. He has also been Artistic Director of the Brevard Music Center since 2007 and has conducted nearly every major orchestra in North America.
