Lords of Acid is a Belgian-American electronic music group formed in 1988 by producer-composer Maurice Engelen — known as Praga Khan (born January 7, 1959, in Antwerp) — alongside programmer Olivier Adams and vocalist Nikkie Van Lierop (Jade 4U). Voodoo-U (1994) added industrial elements; Our Little Secret (1997) became their Billboard 200 debut with singles "Rubber Doll" and the controversial "Pussy." Heaven Is an Orgasm (1998) and remix album Expand Your Head (1999) followed, along with Farstucker (2001), featuring new vocalist Deborah Ostrega and rock influences. Deep Chills (2012), Pretty in Kink (2018, via Kickstarter), and a 2017 back catalog remaster through Metropolis Records continued their output. In January 2025, former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey joined as the new "Acid Queen." Soundtrack credits include Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Blade, and Sucker Punch; Praga Khan also produced the iconic "Techno Syndrome" for the Mortal Kombat soundtrack as The Immortals.
