Alejandro Fernández continues his De Rey a Rey World Tour in which he pays homage to his late father Vicente Fernández, the Mexican legend known as the “King of Ranchera Music” (El Rey de la Música Ranchera). The tour began a year ago and honors the cultural icon who passed away in 2021.
Before the tour started in May 2024, two-time Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Fernández said about the tour*, “I was born with two blessings, First, being born Mexican, and second, being born a Fernández. This tribute is not about me; it’s about Mexico, it’s about Vicente Fernández, in my voice and in all of our voices as we sing together the songs that have become a part of our common heritage.”*
During this tour, Alejandro has been joined by his daughter Camila Fernández who adds songs from her own repertoire making this special tour truly a Fernández family affair.

Before the North American leg of the De Rey a Rey Tour kicks off, Alejandro will head to Europe to do seven shows in Spain, starting with the Concert Music Festival 2025 in Chiclana De La Frontera (August 8) in an annual extravaganza which will also include a performance by Lionel Richie (July 26).
Alejandro will hold Spanish concerts in Calvià (August 8), Murcia (August 12), A Corunà (August 17), Marbella (August 20), Santander (August 21), and Pamplona (August 23).

Alejandro Fernández and the De Rey a Rey Tour will play three shows in the Lone Star State in September, opening up at the Payne Center in Hidalgo, Texas, and on September 5, heading to the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth the following night, September 6, and then the **Don Haskins Center** in El Paso on September 7 where you can still find tickets for as low as $61.50

About Vicente Fernández
The late father of Alejandro Fernández, Vicente Fernández was a famous Mariachi singer, actor, and filmmaker in Mexico who recorded over 50 albums. Nicknamed "El Rey de la Música Ranchera," Chente began singing for tips when he was young.
Vicente Fernández won four Grammy Awards, and nine Latin Grammy Awards, and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Vicente, who retired from signing in 2016, died at the age of 81 in 2021.
Chente sold over 50 million records worldwide and Rolling Stone named him the greatest Mexican singer of all time. One of his biggest hits was "No Me Sé Rajar," a song Alejandro re-released with his own cover version. Here is the original:
