In 2025 fans of the Texan Khruangbin will finally experience their anticipated live tour. The A La Sala Tour will kick off in early April with performances in major cities across North America, including Texas, California, Miami, Austin, Seattle, New York, Denver, and Boston. After finishing their North American tour Khruangbin will move on to European performances including London, Paris, and Berlin before they tour Asia and Australia.

About Khruangbin

Khruangbin consists of three band members who originated from Houston Texas. The band started in 2009. The band features Laura Lee on bass together with Mark Speer who plays guitar and drummer Donald Johnson.

Biography and History

The group Khruangbin creates music that combines aspects of global classic soul while incorporating elements of dub music alongside rock and psychedelia. The band's name translates to "flying engine" or "airplane" in Thai, which shows how unique their music is.

Their debut single, "A Calf Born in Winter," was released in May 2014 by Night Time Stories. When they first released their music notable DJs and respected music publications quickly embraced Khruangbin.

Rise to Fame

Khruangbin's breakthrough came with their debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, released in 2015. This album drew from the history of Thai music in the 1960s, specifically from luk thung. The band's unique sound quickly gained attention, and they were named The Guardian's "New Band of the Week." Their performances acted as opening acts to shows featuring Father John Misty and Tycho as well as Chicano Batman and Massive Attack.
