About The Offspring
Formerly known as Manic Subsidal (1984), The Offspring struggled initially before finding huge success in the 1990s as part of the US punk-alternative rock wave to emerge from the West that included acts like Green Day, Rancid, and underground sensations NOFX.
Early Offspring hit singles like "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)", "Why Don't You Get a Job?", and "The Kids Aren't Alright" became ubiquitous on radio and MTV (and eventually at sporting events), talking to the heart of a generation that felt overlooked and unimportant.
After a lull in the early 2000s, The Offspring roared back with their eighth studio album, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, which was something of a surprise hit. Over their 41-year career, the band has 11 studio albums and has sold more than 45 million records.
