About Tito Double P
Born on August 18, 1997, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, Tito Double P’s real name is Jesús Roberto Laija García and the regional Mexican and Latin urban songwriter, singer, and rapper is the cousin of Peso Pluma who he often collaborates with.
In 2021, Laija began posting videos on social media and drew the attention of cousin Peso Pluma (Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija) who was interested in starting a career as a musician and invited him to come to Culiacán in northwestern Mexico where Laija was raised.
Two years later in 2023, Peso Pluma convinced Tito Double P to start his own solo career in music and he released his first single on June 3 of that year titled "Dembow Bélico" with Luis R. Conriquez and Joel de la P.
Tito appeared on two songs on the third studio album from Peso Pluma (2023) called Génesis, "Gavilán II" and “La People,” both featured in the Atlanta tour opener with "Gavilán II" opening the show.
He had his first entry on the US Billboard Top 100 in February 2024 with “La People II” (with Peso Pluma and Joel de la P) and the song hit No. 2 in the US Latin charts, No. 4 in Mexico, No. 61 worldwide, and No. 69 in the US.
Tito Double P’s debut studio album Incómodo came out on August 22, 2024, and it debuted at No. 20 on the US Billboard 200.
The song “Los Cuadros” (with Peso Pluma) peaked at No. 6 on both the Mexican and Latin US charts while “Linda” hit No. 11 and 18 on those two charts respectively. “Primo” (with Natanael Cano) reached No. 15 on the Mexican chart and No. 24 on the US Latin chart and "Dembow Bélico" hit No. 15 and No. 35 on those two charts.
