How to Issue Tickets in Japan

Ticket access in Japan really depends on the team. Some have full English sites, while others might need a Japanese address or have tricky pages. We’ll explain how to issue tickets depending on each situation.

🎟️Main Ways to Receive Tickets

  1. Electronic Tickets (QR Code / App)

After you buy, you'll usually get a QR code by email or in the app. Just show it on your phone to get in. Some events may ask you to confirm "receipt" after entering. These tickets are super convenient, but sometimes you'll need a Japanese phone number or a specific app.

  2. Anonymous Shipping / Mail (e.g., Letter Pack)

The seller mails the ticket to you. If you use the platform's anonymous shipping, it comes in the company's name, so the seller's address stays hidden. You'll usually get a tracking number after it's sent. Make sure your address is correct when you buy—it can be tricky to change later.

  3. Convenience Store Pickup (In-Store Issuance)

You print the ticket at a convenience store and use the receipt to get in. The machines are in Japanese, and you may need a local account or payment method. This option sometimes isn't available for overseas buyers.

  4. Hand Delivery / Pick-Up at the Venue

You meet the seller at the venue and get your ticket directly. This can be a bit risky if plans change or in rare cases of scams, so double-check the date, time, and place through the platform before meeting.

Where to Find Cheap Japanese Baseball Game Tickets

Unlike other resale sites such as StubHub, SeatGeek, and Ticketmaster, where service fees may fluctuate depending on venues, ticket types, and ticket prices, TicketX has an industry-low flat fee, which makes getting Japanese professional baseball (NPB) games tickets significantly cheaper.

You can currently find affordable seats for Japanese professional baseball (NPB) games through TicketX. Popular matchups—especially games featuring historic teams like the Yomiuri Giants or Hanshin Tigers, as well as weekend and playoff season games tend to sell out quickly. Demand rises even more once key matchups and postseason contenders are confirmed, so if you’re planning to experience Japanese baseball in person, it’s best to secure your tickets early at Ticket X!
