About Rocky - The Musical

Rocky the Musical is based on the Academy Award-winning Best Picture, telling the story of Rocky Balboa gaining the confidence to take on heavyweight champion Apollo Creed — and, as productions have framed it, one of the best love stories ever told alongside it. The show premiered on November 18, 2012 at the Operettenhaus in Hamburg before a Broadway run at the Winter Garden Theatre in 2014 starring Andy Karl and Margo Seibert. It features 20 original songs plus music from the film series including Gonna Fly Now and Eye of the Tiger, and has since been staged in Prague and Brazil.
