About Tegan and Sara

Tegan and Sara are a Canadian indie pop duo made up of identical twins Tegan and Sara Quin, who began writing songs in Calgary at 15 and have released 10 studio albums since their 1999 debut. They broke through with 2004's So Jealous, whose single Walking with a Ghost was later covered by the White Stripes, then pivoted to synth pop on Heartthrob, the album that produced their biggest hit, Closer. The pair are also longtime LGBTQ advocates through the Tegan and Sara Foundation, and their memoir was adapted into the television series High School. In September 2026 they released Our Year, a single with Lights produced by Felix Cartal and their first new music since 2022's Crybaby, with a new album in the works.
