The New Mastersounds is a four-piece jazz fusion band from England. Over their 16 active years, they have put out 10 studio albums, two remixes, two live albums, and a compilation release. In the late 90s, a producer/guitarist was running a nightclub in Leeds with a space for live band practices. He put together The New Mastersounds, and their very first rehearsal produced a limited-edition 7” single. The group has collaborated with many other DJs, musicians, and producers over the years, and by 2006, they were playing clubs in France, Spain, and Italy, and touring in the U.S. and Japan. They started creating songs with traditional arrangements of Italian songs and produced the album called Trenta. Since 2007, they have released 8 albums, the most recent of which came out in 2018. Renewable Energy was recorded in Denver and Ohio. The New Mastersounds have distributed their music through One Note Records since 2003.
