Bill Burr

Bill Burr, who has had audiences rolling in the aisles since the early 1990s, is commonly considered to be one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time. As anyone will know who has listened to his accent for five seconds or more, Burr hails from Boston, and his comedy carries a great deal of the straight-talkin’ wit of that city into his stories and jokes. Burr is a huge sports fan and famously once launched into an on-stage rant about how much the city of Philadelphia sucks, given that their biggest sporting hero is fictional boxer Rocky Balboa. He did this in front of a hostile crowd in Philadelphia and yet by the end of the rant was given a standing ovation as he left the stage for his comedic brilliance (and bravery!). Burr also hosts a solo podcast where he rants on various topics and answers questions from young male listeners and offers advice with surprising (but always hilarious) sincerity. His wife Nia, who is African-American, also sometimes appears on the podcast and delights listeners with some back-and-forth marital banter.
