About Cody Jinks

Cody Jinks, first name Meredith, is an outlaw country singer and songwriter who broke out with his 2016 album, which reached number four on the charts. Jinks was born and raised in Haltom City, near Fort Worth, and started playing country riffs on guitar at 16 with his dad. He started his musical career in a thrash metal band called Unchecked Aggression. They released an album in 2002, but broke up a year later. Jinks took some time off from music, then started in on country in 2005. The Tone Deaf Hippies backed Cody Jinks, and they started releasing albums together in the country genre in 2008. His latest album was released in 2019, and it hit the number one spot on iTunes as the Top Album. One of the singles from the album, “William and Wanda,” he wrote about his late grandparents.
