In the year 2007, Del McCoury, a musician well associated with bluegrass music, became the prime mover of an annual entertainment occasion called DelFest- it is a festival of Appalachian music on the terrain of Maryland.  Held every year in Allegany County Fair Ground Tavern Cumberland in Maryland, it's a four-day celebration of bluegrass,  bluegrass gospel, bluegrass country and much more.

Headed by High Sierra Music, DelFest has grown over the years to embrace a family-friendly face. It is one that boasts a positively fabulous display of talented musicians.  It has long been attributed to ground breaking performances as well as genre defining jams and for this reason, Delfest has become a perfect destination for any festival enthusiast and a great place for just about anyone who loves music.

Delfest Lineup 2024

Organizers released the schedule for DelFest 2024 on April 16th, 2024 detailing the event scheduled for May 23 to 26. Of the many acts who will be taking the stage this year, Greensky Bluegrass, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sierra Ferrell, Del McCoury Band, and The Travelin’ McCourys are the most prominent.

In total there are 36 acts, while there will be 56 performances in the course of the four days that the festival will be taking place. The musical performances scheduled are from East Nash Grass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Daniel Donato’s Country, and Del McCoury Band.
