Upon first listening, it can be difficult to believe that Greta Van Fleet are really a band that was only formed in 2012. The bluesy style of their rocking sound hearkens back to a 1960s or 70s style with vocalist Josh Kiszka at times seeming to channel the soul of Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, though the band stresses that Zeppelin was never a direct influence (Plant has since been complimentary of the band as well as Kiszka’s singing). Twin brother Jake absolutely shreds lead guitar alongside, with solos of the old-school style that lift the crowd up out of their seats and into the stratosphere. Seeing Greta Van Fleet live provides fans a unique blend of the throwback and the modern, an experience no concert-goer will soon forget.
