Jonas Blue emerged as an unexpected force to be reckoned with in the ever-evolving landscape of electronic dance music. The British DJ and Producer has been known to mix soulful melodies with compelling beats to make his own brand of magic. He has carved out a piece of the industry for himself and earned a reputation for his unique sound and dynamic production.
Guy James Robin was born in Essex, England, where he started out by experimenting with different sounds in his bedroom until he found his sweet spot. He broke into the scene in 2015 with his debut single which earned a number 2 spot on the UK Singles Chart. Since then, he has gone on to collaborate with different music acts and build a global audience. Today, he is a prominent name and figure in the EDM scene, known for his neat ability to put a unique twist on musical classics.
The British Producer draws his influences from UK garage dance music and old soul artists like those that were signed to the Motown and Stax record companies. He also spends time listening to big names like Kygo and Avicii. These influences contributed to the discovery of his own niche blend of pop, soul, and dance music that he is now famous for.
Jonas Blue debuted with his breakout single, Fast Car. The 2015 hit was a reimagination of Tracy Chapman’s classic. Following the success of the song, the producer went on to release more singles and widely successful collaborations. He featured JP Cooper on the hit single Perfect Strangers and RAYE on By Your Side. He has also worked with a range of powerhouse artists like Becky Hill, Joe Jonas, and previous One Direction member Liam Payne.
The EDM star released his debut studio album in 2018, peaking at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart. Blue helped to solidify what was already a stellar career run, establishing him as an even bigger force to be reckoned with. He also has a couple of compilation albums he released with Universal Music Japan, namely Est. 1989 and Together.
Jonas Blue’s first time touring was in 2017 during which he went from Cologne to Amsterdamto Paris and down to London. His maiden tour was an opportunity to push the EDM star out into the limelight and maximize the momentum generated by his debut single.
