BTS Tour Kicks Off in Asia, Will Make Four Stops There
The Arirang World Tour will appropriately open up things in the group’s home country of South Korea, with two shows at Goyang Stadium in Goyang on April 9 and April 11. After that, it’s two nights in Japan for BTS at the historic Tokyo Dome (April 17-18).
BTS was formed in 2010 in the South Korean capital of Seoul, and Goyang is a satellite city (suburb) in the Seoul Capital Area located northwest of Seoul. So this massive world tour truly starts out where BTS have both their human and musical roots.
The BTS tour returns to Asia on June 12-13 for two shows in Busan, South Korea, before heading to Europe. But the septet returns to their home continent from November 19 to December 21, 2026 (Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) as well as next year in 2027 with three dates in Hong Kong (March 4, 6, 7, 2027).

When Does the New BTS Album Arirang Come Out?
BTS will release Arirang on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1 pm KST (Korean Standard Time). The tour is named after the album, the fifth studio release from the renowned South Korean K-pop boy band. The group’s last studio album was Be in 2020, but BTS did release the Permission to Dance live album in 2025.
The album will focus on themes of reunion after the seven-member group had finally reunited after completing their required time of service in the South Korean military.
No singles have been released yet from the 14-track Arirang, which was written and produced by BTS and which is named after the iconic Korean folk song “Arirang.” The song is considered the unofficial national anthem of both South Korea and North Korea.
The deeply emotional song is about feelings of longing and reunion—a sentiment strongly felt in the nation and the embodiment of “han” (한), a very unique Korean feeling of deep sorrow, grief, and resiliency evolving from the historical suffering from the national split between South Korea and North Korea.
The much-anticipated release by BTS fans (ARMY) will be available on various physical formats (vinyl, CD, cassette, Weverse) as well as on digital formats.

About BTS
Formed in 2010, BTS have been known by many names, including the Bangtan Boys, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Beyond the Scene, and the Bulletproof Boy Scouts, and have always had seven key members in Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.
The group debuted in 2013 and led the Korean Wave (K-pop) into the US in 2017, becoming the first Korean ensemble to get a Gold Certification for the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with their popular single “MIC Drop”.
BTS became the first group in the US since The Beatles to chart four #1 albums in the country in less than two years with their first four releases. And there is little doubt that Arirang will also debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts come late March.
The latest redesigned BTS logo (2017) symbolizes “Beyond the Scene,” a representation of youth not settling for less and blocking stereotypes, with two trapezoids forming half-open doors for BTS (inside) and their ARMY (outside), signifying unity as they meet.
