Dead & Company Live at Sphere Residency 2025

Cultural icons, the Dead & Company have returned to Las Vegas and the wonderful Sphere musical theater at The Venetian Resort for an 18-show residency on The Strip celebrating the band’s 10-year anniversary.

This will be the second time the group—a spinoff of the Grateful Dead—has done a residency at the now iconic Las Vegas structure which can be seen from all over the valley. The Dead & Company also did a 30-date Dead Forever residency at the Sphere from March 20 to August 10, 2024.

The residency last year was originally scheduled for just 24 shows, but due to its popularity, the group decided to add an additional 6 shows to the schedule in August making it a total of 30 nights. Whether or not this residency will also add some dates in Sin City remains to be seen, but if they do, we will have the tickets for you here at TicketX.

The 18-show residency kicked off on March 20 to rave reviews. Updated visuals are among the new things fans can look forward to in this residency. These shows will be the only Dead & Company concerts playing at the Sphere in 2025.

Remaining April Dates

The Dead & Company will play the Sphere at the Venetian Resort on Thursday, April 24 where tickets can be found for just $254.10 followed by another show a night later on Friday, April 25.

The Dead Forever 2025 Tour plays its last date in April on Saturday, April 26 where tickets can be found for as low as $346.50. Given the age of a few of its key members and the nature of this cutting-edge visual concert space, there may be few chances left to see Weir, Hart, and these hippie icons who carved out one of the most unique niches and followings in musical history. All of the Dead & Company shows will start at 7:30 pm.

May Dates

In May, Dead & Company will play its final 6 shows at the Sphere, but the good news is that there are still tickets available for all these May dates, and like we said, who knows if they decide to add a few more.

The weekend of May 9 to May 11 will see shows on Friday, May 9 ($353.10), Saturday, May 10 ($410.30), and Sunday, May 11 ($264.00) with the Dead & Company undoubtedly doing its big hits like “Truckin,” “Casey Jones,” and “Fire On the Mountain.”

And then the following weekend of May 15 to May 17 will feature immersive Sphere shows on Thursday, May 15 ($288.20), Friday, May 16 ($448.80), and the final scheduled night on Saturday, May 17 ($486.20).

How Long Are Dead & Company Concerts?

Based on Dead & Company concert information from setlist.fm, you can expect this band’s ****marathon concerts up to 4 hours depending on location, number of encores, and backup or co-starring acts. With this being a residency, all shows should be about the same length, but with this being The Dead (basically), anything is possible and there will be no rhyme or reason from night to night in the Sphere.

About the Sphere

The Sphere broke ground on September 27, 2018, next to The Venetian Resort and the $2.3 billion, 18,600-seat 4D auditorium was originally called the MSG Sphere.

Now owned by Sphere Entertainment and Vici Properties, this music and entertainment arena officially opened its doors to the public on September 29, 2023, with Irish rockers U2 opening up a 40-date residency deemed U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere.

Concerts would never be the same.

About Dead & Company

There are still two original band members from the Grateful Dead left in the Dead & Company: Bob Weir and Mickey Hart. Weir joined the Dead in 1965 with Hart coming onboard in 1967. Drummer Bill Kreutzman (78) was also an original member since 1965, but left in 2023 and was replaced by Layne.

The first-ever lineup for the Grateful Dead was Jerry Garcia (lead guitar and vocals), Weir (rhythm guitar and vocals), Ron McKernan (keyboards, harmonica, and vocals), Phil Lesh (bass guitar and vocals), and Kreutzman (drums). The band was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area and was originally known as the Warlocks.

Dead & Company mostly performs covers by the Grateful Dead and some songs by other artists like The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Martha Reeves, and the Vandellas. They are credited with bringing music from the original Dead days to a different generation. The group has no studio albums of its own despite being around for 10 years now.

The Grateful Dead had their run for 30 years from 1965 to 1995 and have over 200 albums in their discography. Worldwide, the group has sold over 35 million albums and owns the record for the most Top 40 albums in the Billboard 200 chart with 59.

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and was inducted by Bruce Hornsby. The face of the group, Jerry Garcia, died in 1995, so at least he got to see the Grateful Dead enshrined in Cleveland.
