Elvis Costello Unveils Plans For 2025 Tour

Tour Name: 2025 Radio Soul! Tour

Tour Dates: June 12 - July 12

In December, Elvis Costello announced information for his late-spring, early-summer 2025 Radio Soul! Tour featuring the 70-year-old Elvis Costello and the Imposters performing songs from the early part of their musical career and his first 11 albums over 17 concerts.

The 2025 Radio Soul! Tour will kick off on June 12, 2025, at the Woodland Park Zoo Amphitheatre in Seattle and then make June stops in Portland (June 13), Reno (June 15), San Francisco (June 17), Wheatland, California (June 19), Los Angeles (June 21), San Diego (June 24), Las Vegas (June 26), Beaver Creek, Colorado (June 28), and Denver (June 29).

In July the tour will be in Kansas City, Missouri (July 1), St. Louis (July 3), Nashville, Tennessee (July 5), Greenville, North Carolina (July 7), St. Petersburg, Florida (July 9), Fort Myers, Florida (July 10), and will end at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach (July 12).

A press release said to expect songs ranging from 11 albums from his debut My Aim is True (1977) to Blood & Chocolate (1986) will dominate the setlist “along with other surprises.” During that nine-year span, Cosello had hits with “Watching the Detectives,” “I Want You,” and hits from The Imposters like “Brilliant Mistake,” “Alison,” and “Man Out of Time” are also from that time frame.

“For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago,“ Costello said of the theme of the tour. “Among them, “Radio Soul,” the first draft of what eventually became “Radio Radio.”

How Long Are Elvis Costello and the Imposters Shows?

Shows by Elvis Costello and The Imposters with Charlie Sexton should fall in the two to three hour range, with the average show lasting two hours and 12 minutes. The November 10 show at the Waterview Opera House in Waterville, Maine had 18 songs so expecting a show in the two-and-a-half hour area seems about right.

Who Will be Playing With Elvis Costello on the Tour?

Elvis Costello’s band The Imposters will be playing with him on the 2025 Radio Soul! Tour. The Imposters are Steve Nieve (Keyboardist), Pete Thomas (Drummer), Davey Faragher (Bass Guitarist), and they will be joined by Charlie Sexton (Guitarist).

“You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure,” Costello said. “Don’t forget this show is “Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters,” an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded the music and two more who bring something entirely new. They are nobody’s tribute band.”

Elvis Costello will also still have some upcoming dates from this current tour with Steve Nieve, Eleanor Whitmore (Fiddle), Tony Garnier (Double Bass), and Sean McKeon (Uilleann Pipe) from February 19 to March 15 starting on opening night on Wednesday, February 19 at State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania then heading to Hackensack, New Jersey (February 21), Wilmington, Delaware (February 22), Montclair, New Jersey (February 24), Ithaca, New York (February 25), and Port Chester, New York (February 27).

About Elvis Costello

Elvis Costello helped usher in the New Wave genre of music. Born Declan Patrick Macmanus in London, England, Costello burst onto the scene in 1977 with the release of his first album “My Aim is True,” an album which will be featured prominently on this 2025 Radio Soul! Tour in the US in June and July.
