Father John Misty is currently on his extensive 2025 World Tour supporting his latest album, Mahashmashana. The tour spans North America, Europe, and the UK, with over 50 shows. The tour launched on February 12 at Chattanooga and it will run until September.

North American Tour Dates

The tour began in February with a Southeast run through Chattanooga (Feb 12), Atlanta (Feb 13), Nashville (Feb 14), and Louisville (Feb 15) before moving to the Midwest with shows in Columbus (Feb 17), Detroit (Feb 18), and Pittsburgh (Feb 19). The winter leg featured a Canadian stop at Toronto's historic Massey Hall (Feb 21) before continuing through the Northeast with performances in Boston (Feb 22), Kingston (Feb 23), Brooklyn and New York City (Feb 25-26), Philadelphia (Feb 28), and concluding in Washington D.C. (Mar 1). All performances in February and March had Destroyer joining the stage.

American Summer Tour

Father John Misty brings his tour back to North America during the summer months of July. The summer tour begins at Ottawa Bluesfest (Jul 10), followed by shows in Vermont (Jul 11), Maine (Jul 12), and New York (Jul 13). The tour continues through the Midwest with stops in Cincinnati (Jul 15), Chicago (Jul 17), Saint Paul for the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival (Jul 18-20), and Kansas City (Jul 19) before heading southwest to Santa Fe (Jul 21).

The West Coast leg features performances in San Diego (Jul 23), Santa Barbara (Jul 24), Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre (Jul 25), and Berkeley (Jul 26). The North American summer run concludes with two nights in Portland, Oregon (Jul 29-30) and a final show in Vancouver (Jul 31). Lucinda Williams, and Hamilton Leithauser support select July dates.

The 2025 tour officially ends with a performance at the Sing Out Loud Festival in St. Augustine, Florida, on September 20.

European and UK Tour Dates

When the North American winter tour ends, Father John Misty embarks on a European tour in April. The European tour begins in Oslo (Apr 3) and continues to Stockholm (Apr 4), Copenhagen (Apr 5), Berlin (Apr 6), Paris (Apr 8), Brussels (Apr 9), and Utrecht (Apr 10).

The UK and Ireland portion includes performances at Edinburgh's Usher Hall (Apr 12), special acoustic sets, and full shows in Liverpool and Manchester (Apr 13), and Brighton (Apr 14). The spring European tour concludes with a prestigious show at London's Royal Albert Hall (Apr 15) and acoustic performances at London's EartH Theatre (Apr 16). Butch Bastard performs at every April European concert date.

UK and European Summer Tour

Father John Misty returns to Europe in June for festival appearances at Kalorama in Madrid and Lisbon (Jun 19-21), followed by UK shows in Leeds (Jun 22), Nottingham (Jun 23), Gateshead (Jun 25), Cambridge (Jun 26), and Liverpool (Jun 27).

In August, he returns to the UK and Ireland for performances in Galway (Aug 23), Dublin (Aug 24), Belfast (Aug 25), and Cork (Aug 26, sold out). The tour continues with the End of the Road Festival in Salisbury (Aug 28-31), Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom (Aug 28), and the Moseley Folk Festival in Birmingham (Aug 30).

Who is Father John Misty?

Singer-songwriter and record producer Father John Misty was born Joshua Michael Tillman on May 3, 1981, in Rockville, Maryland.

Early Life and Background

He spent his childhood years living under strict evangelical Christian rules in Rockville, Maryland. Christian and classical music made up most of what he listened to in his early days. When he reached 12 years old, Tillman started drumming before learning guitar on his own. Tillman developed an interest in secular music despite his religious upbringing because it sparked his curiosity and eventually shaped his artistic path. At age 21, Tillman left Nyack College to start a music career in Seattle after his short time at the Christian liberal arts institution.
