Lollapalooza, one of the most awaited music festivals in the world, will once again take place at Grant Park in Chicago from August 1-4, 2024. Although the main festival lineup and schedule have already been released, music lovers also can expect the return of the very popular Lollapalooza Aftershows.
Lollapalooza 2024
Lollapalooza, a lively music festival initiated by Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction in 1991, provides a wide range of genres, including rock, alternative, hip-hop, and EDM. Given a title that mirrors its unique and old-fashioned cultural feel, the festival was originally started in the USA and has now grown globally, with editions in cities such as Berlin and Mumbai.
Lollapalooza 2024 will be held on August 1-4 at Grant Park in Chicago, with daily sessions going from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The festival will be headlined by Hozier, Tyler the Creator, SZA, The Killers, Stray Kids, Skrillex, Future x Metro Boomin, Melanie Martinez, and Blink-182. Lollapalooza Aftershows
The Lollapalooza Aftershows are the festival’s official after-parties, providing fans with intimate encounters with artists at several legendary venues around Chicago. The aftershows prolong the spirit of the festival and give people an opportunity to view more than 110 artists, including the same top and legendary musicians who play at the festival, in a more intimate environment.
Instead of the huge stages of Lollapalooza, the Aftershows are held in air-conditioned music venues, giving a different environment to the concerts and bringing the artists closer to their audience.

Announcements of Aftershows are usually made months ahead of the main festival. For example, in 2023, the Aftershows were announced at the beginning of June, and fans could prepare their schedule in advance and buy tickets.
Tickets are sold separately from the Lollapalooza entry wristband and can be bought via the festival’s official page, TicketX, or at the music venues themselves.

Lollapalooza Aftershows 2023
The 2023 Lollapalooza Aftershows consisted of a variety of artists, so there was something for everybody.
Some of the notable acts included:
Fred again: The British DJ, electronic producer, Stormzy and Headie One collaborator's aftershow set.
Noah Kahan: The indie folk singer-songwriter with his emotive lyrics and soulful melodies, who has a loyal following, played at the Aftershow stage.
Foals: The English rock band, famous for its energetic live shows, has added its lively sound to the Aftershow roster.
Sabrina Carpenter: The pop singer and actress, both an accomplished musician and actor, deserved all the adoration she received from the Aftershow audience.
Notable artists also featured in the 2023 Lollapalooza Aftershows were ODESZA, Dom Dolla, Peach Pit, and The 1975.
