About Spiritbox

The group Spiritbox was founded in October of 2017 after Stringer and LaPlante became unhappy with their roles in the group Iwrestledabearonce. Their first release was an EP called Spiritbox (2017) followed by a second EP called the Singles Collection (2019).

The Victoria, British Columbia, Canada based band made its touring debut in 2020 and released their first full studio album, Eternal Blue in 2021. The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 13. Two more EPs followed in 2022 (Rotoscope) and in 2023 (The Fear of Fear).

On March 7, 2025, Spiritbox dropped their second studio album, Tsunami Sea, the album they are supporting on this current tour by the same name.

Couple Stringer and death growler LaPlante married in 2016. The two cite Alexisonfire and Protest the Hero as two of their earliest musical influences.

Past members of Spiritbox include Bill Crook (bass) and Ryan Loerke (drums).
