Spiritbox is a heavy metal band from Canada that formed in 2017. Their style utilizes electronic elements and crosses various metal subgenres that have roots in progressive metal and metalcore. Two of the members, LaPlante and Stringer, a married couple, were members of another band, but were dissatisfied, so they formed Spiritbox to express what they wanted artistically. Their debut EP was released in 2017, followed by a second one in 2019. They concentrated on building their fanbase online and introduced new songs with music videos, then went on tour in 2020.
