More About Tyler Childers
Hailing from Lawrence County, Kentucky, Childers honed his musical talents in church choirs from age 13. Dropping out of college to pursue music full-time, he gained recognition with his debut album, Bottles And Bibles, in 2011. His breakthrough came with the release of his second album, Purgatory, in 2017, produced by the acclaimed rocker Sturgill Simpson, which topped the charts and earned him accolades at the Americana Music Honors & Awards.
Childers' success soared further with a Grammy nomination for his single "All Your'n" from his 2020 album Long Violent History. Following this, he embarked on the Send in the Hounds tour in 2023 with his band, The Food Stamps.
Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven was named Album of the Year at the 2023 Americana Honors & Awards. Tyler Childers mesmerized the audiences with his soul-stirring performances, including a memorable rendition of "Way Of The Triune God" at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, the renowned venue located in Morrison, Colorado, where he delivered a classic gospel resonating deeply with his roots.
With his latest album Rustin In The Rain, Childers continues to defy expectations, bagging two Grammy nominations. From Elvis-inspired soundscapes to heartfelt advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights in songs like "In Your Love," Childers delivers some of the most revered modern hits that challenge stereotypes, making his fans come back for more.
In an interview with NPR's Ann Powers, the Grammy contender explained that he wanted to memorialize his gay cousin by featuring a same-sex romance in the center of his film.
"Even if you have the privilege of walking through this world unfazed, it's more important than ever to stand with and for and up for things, to be vocal," said Childers, a straight man.

Jersey Giant
Written by Childers 10 years ago, Elle King's rendition of “Jersey Giant” was released in 2022. Despite fans' disappointment over the lack of an official release, Tyler confirmed that he has no plans to release a studio version of the track. Jersey Giant is a reflective song that captures the complexities of love and the challenges of letting go.
In Your Love
Tyler Childers' sixth album, Rustin' in the Rain (2023), entered the Billboard Hot 100-charting artist at No. 43 with his captivating song In Your Love. The piece challenges traditional norms within the country music genre, emphasizing the importance of love and compassion regardless of sexual orientation.
All Your’n
“All Your’n” by Tyler Childers is a standout track from his 2019 album Country Squire, an ode to his wife, Senora May, a Kentucky native and fellow performer. The song also hints at a different kind of love – a fondness for marijuana. This interpretation becomes evident when viewing the music video, featuring psychedelic imagery and a journey through the forest fueled by the green herb.
Feathered Indians
Tyler Childers “Feathered Indians” **is often proclaimed among fans to be one of the finest country songs of the past decade. Released as part of his 2017 album Purgatory, the track accentuates the vitality of country music while painting a vivid picture of a past romance paired with pleasing instrumentation.
