The divorce between the famous comedian John Mulaney and the talented multimedia artist Anna Marie Tendler has been a rather messy one. John Mulaney started his career in comedy when he first joined Comedy Central as an office assistant in 2004. The two met during a trip to Martha's Vineyard and fell in love immediately. They started dating soon after and tied the knot in 2014. The couple are usually seen together in their daily life and on tour. Mulaney also talked about their relationship in his comedy and confessed his love for his wife every time he could.

The first troubling sign came in late 2020 when John had to check in to rehab due to drug and alcohol addiction. The divorce announcement came shortly after in 2021, shocking both fans and media. Tendler later revealed that she was hospitalized for “Severe Suicidal Ideation.”
