When is the 2025 Miami F1 Grand Prix?

After a week break, the Formula 1 circuit heads to the US for Round 6 for the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2025 at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday, May 4. Tickets for Practice 1 (May 2), Sprint Qualifying (May 2), the Sprint (May 3), Qualifying (May 3), the Miami Grand Prix 2025 (May 4), and 3-Day passes are all available and on sale now.

Last year, in the third-ever running of the race, Lando Norris (McLaren-Mercedes) was the winner after Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing-RBPT) won the first two F1 races to be held in Miami (2022, 2023).

The next US race on the 2025 Formula One schedule in the US will be the United States Grand Prix from the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on Sunday, October 19. Right now, you can find tickets for as low as $59.40 for Friday’s events and $326.70 for the big race on Sunday.
The third and final US stop for the F1 circuit is Sin City and the 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix from the Las Vegas Strip Circuit from Thursday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22. George Russell (Mercedes) won the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024.
2025 Formula One Grand Prix Past Schedule and Winners
On Sunday in Round 5 in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025, Oscar Piastri beat out Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) as the McLaren driver took over the Drivers’ Championship leaderboard. Lando Norris (McLaren) finished in 4th place with George Russell (Mercedes) in 5th place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

Who is Leading the Formula One Circuit This Season?
After Sunday’s result in Saudi Arabia, the 2025 F1 Driver Standings we now see race winner Oscar Piastri has passed teammate Lando Norris for the lead. Here is the Top 10:

Piastri is the only driver to have won two or more races so far. In the team competition, McLaren is on top with 188 points followed by Mercedes (111), Red Bull Racing (89), and Ferrari (78 points).
Oddsmakers at FanDuel currently have Piastri priced at +105 to win the F1 Drivers’ Championship 2025 outright followed by teammate Norris (+185), four-time defending champion Verstappen (+440), Russell (24/1), and longshots LeClerc (120/1), Hamilton (280/1), Antonelli (280/1), Yuki Tsunoda (500/1) and Jack Doohan (500/1).
Taking a shot at icon Verstappen at +440 at this point in time might not be a bad idea.
When is Miami Grand Prix Practice 1 and Sprint Qualifying?
The F1 Miami schedule for the weekend begins on Friday, May 2 with Practice 1 from the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens which will start at 12:30 pm (Miami time) and run until 1:30 pm (EDT).
A little later that day on Friday, May 2, the drivers will take part in the Sprint Qualifying from the track at 4:30 pm until 5:14 pm (16:30-17:14). Tickets for all of Friday’s events are included in the 3-day pass.
When is the Miami Grand Prix Sprint and Race Qualifying?
Day Two of the Miami GP is Saturday, May 3 and will see the Sprint (19 Laps or 60 Minutes) starting at 12 noon followed by the Race Qualifying session at 4 pm and racing until 5 pm local time. This will air on ESPN at 11:55 am EDT (10:55 CDT/8:55 PDT).
When is the Miami Grand Prix 2025 Race?
Day Three of the Miami GP is the big day of the weekend as that is when the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2025 will be held at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens. Anyone wanting to attend can still get tickets here by buying a 3-day pass.
The 57-lap race is scheduled to start at 4 pm EDT (3 CDT/1 PDT).

Where to watch the Miami GP? You can see the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday (4 EDT/3 CDT/1 PDT) in the US on ABC, ESPN+, and F1 TV Pro. ABC will have a special 90-minute Formula 1 Prerace show starting at 2:30 pm EDT (1:30 pm CDT/11:30 am PDT).

What Are the Track Specifics and Layout?
The Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens opened in 2022 as part of a 10-year contract for the Miami Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won the inaugural race and the defending four-time F1 World Drivers’ Championship (2021-2024) repeated again in 2023 before Lando Norris won here last year.
Verstappen was on the podium last year in 2nd place (+7.612) with Charles Leclerc finishing in 3rd place (+9.920).
This FIA Grade A street circuit course is located in Miami Gardens—a suburb of Miami 16 miles north of downtown—and the Miami Grand Prix is 57 laps over the 3,363-mile (5.412 km) configurement for a total length of 191.584 miles (308.326 km). There are 19 turns.
This season’s new F1 leader Oscar Piastri holds the track lap record with a time of 1:30.634 behind the wheel of his McLaren-Mercedes.
