Normani

Normani is an American singer and dancer whose rapid rise to fame came after an unsuccessful X Factor audition that serendipitously led to her becoming part of the girl group Fifth Harmony. Fifth Harmony, which also featured Camila Cabello, went on to become one of the best selling girl groups of all time. Following the breakup of the group in 2017, Normani embarked on a solo career that saw her collaborate with some of the biggest stars in the biz, including Calvin Harris, Cardi B (including the incendiary “WAP”), and Khalid, among many others. Recently, fans have been buzzing about her Normani’s debut solo album Dopamine, set for release in June 2024.

Tour Name: Ariana Grande’s 2019 Sweetener World Tour (supporting act, first North American leg)

Tour Dates: March 18, 2019-August 4, 2019

While Normani has not (yet) toured much as a solo artist, her career as a singer and dancer began with extensive tours in the girl group Fifth Harmony. She was also a supporting act for Ariana Grande’s 2019 Sweetener World Tour, a massive tour that went from North America to Europe and back again with a total of 100 shows. As well as with Social House, Normani opened the tour’s first show in Albany (Times Union Center) on March 18, 2019 and continued on with Grande through huge shows in Boston (TD Garden), Montreal (Bell Centre), Portland (Moda Center), Los Angeles (Staples Center), and many others. Her final tour appearance was in Chicago in Grant Park on August 4.

Fans responded to Normani’s appearance in the 2019 tour with high praise. “Normani was great!!” enthused one fan from the Toronto concert. “Great vocals, amazing dancer.” one attendee of her Los Angeles concert. A review from the opening concert in Albany described her dance moves as “impeccable.”

Normani Kordei Hamilton, known simply as Normani, was born in New Orleans but moved to Houston at age 9 when her family was forced to relocate due to Hurricane Katrina. She took to dancing from a very young age and began recording songs at age 13.
