In 2023, the USL (United Soccer League) announced that Jacksonville was one of the cities where a Super League team was going to be launched. The team to be launched is Sporting Club Jacksonville, and the franchise is run by JAXUSL. If you aren’t familiar with the group, it is led by Ricky Caplin along with Steve Livingstone, Toni Allegretti, and former quarterback Tim Tebow featuring as investors.

Sporting Jax will miss the inaugural season of the USL Super League. However, all indications suggest that the team will be ready to participate by 2025. One requirement for participation is that the team must have a home stadium, and as of July 22, they have yet to secure a deal for one.

It is still a long way to the 2025 season, so we expect to receive updates from the club on player signings and property deals as the new season approaches.

When Does The 2024 Preseason and Regular Season start for Sporting Jax?

Sporting Club Jacksonville will not be participating in the 2024 USL Super League season. However, when the club eventually gets the green light to join the league, most likely in 2025, the updates will be here. Check TicketX for updates on their schedule.

When Do Sporting Jax Tickets Go on Sale?

Fans can join the line for Sporting Jax season tickets by making a $25 deposit for the women’s team. The club has not disclosed when the tickets will be available, but you can make a deposit and be the first to receive the update through the tickets page on the club’s website.

Sporting Jax's Home Stadium

As of July 22, 2024, Sporting Jax had not gotten its own stadium, so the team is still not fit to participate in the Super League. However, in July 2023, the team was working on a partnership with St. Johns County to develop a 15-field community sportsplex that will include stadiums for professional training and tournament soccer games.
