Sugarland is a country music duo consisting of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. The group was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 2002 and was signed in 2004. They recorded four studio albums, a live and a Christmas album in the span of six years. They enjoyed 15 charting singles. Sugarland took a hiatus in 2012 and each part of the duo recorded solo albums, but they reunited in 2017 and started recording again. The group started out as a trio, complete with Kristen Hall, who was also a regular on the folk-rock scene in Atlanta. When she left, the pair continued as a duo. Their debut album was released in 2004 and the song “Baby Girl” hit number two on the Hot Country Charts.
