Tomberlin, full name Sarah Beth Tomberlin, is a contemporary folk musician and singer/songwriter. Tomberlin is based in Louisville, Kentucky, but was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Her family moved several times before settling in Fairfield, Illinois where her father acted as a preacher at a Baptist church. Tomberlin finished high school at 16 and started college before dropping out to write music for her first album. She traveled with Angel Olsen in 2022 on the Big Time tour as the opening act. Tomberlin looks back on her younger years and credits the soundtrack to Chicago as having a great influence on her musical tastes.
