Known most commonly as the Boston Opera House, the Citizens Bank Opera House has been providing a gorgeous venue for performances in downtown Boston ever since it opened in 1928. While initially built to house opera and other theatrical productions, the Citizens Bank Opera House was later used primarily as a large movie theater before returning to opera and then shifting towards ballet and Broadway musicals.

At nearly a century old, the Citizens Bank Opera House is a historic landmark that would be worth a visit in and of itself. While this classic theater was once dedicated to opera (as per its name), since its reopening in 2004, no opera company has returned and so the venue has instead become the home of the renowned Boston Ballet as well as various Broadway shows.
