The North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center is a versatile venue in North Charleston, South Carolina. This multi-purpose arena serves as a performing arts center, convention center, sports arena, concert venue, and more. The performing arts and convention center portion opened in 1999, but the coliseum has been open since 1993. It is conveniently located near the Charleston International Airport, right on the access road.
The coliseum is home to the professional hockey team, the ECHL South Carolina Stingrays. It is also an alternate home for the basketball team from the local Charleston Southern University. It’s also the go-to location for concerts and any other major indoor event that draws a lot of people. The arena is currently undergoing expansion to increase concourse areas, add banquet areas, and make more room for smaller events.
