EverBank Stadium first opened its doors in 1995 as the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, an NFL expansion franchise that joined the league that same year alongside their fellow felines, the Carolina Panthers. The building incorporates some sections of the old Gator Bowl Stadium that had occupied the site since 1927 and is situated in an attractive location on the banks of the St. Johns River. The Jaguars had a strong start to their NFL journey, making the playoffs several seasons in a row and appearing once in the AFC Conference Final, but they have struggled since. Visitors can access EverBank Stadium via public transportation or driving their own vehicle. Your first question, however, may be (if not living in the area): where’s Jacksonville? Well, Jacksonville is a city of nearly a million people located on the Atlantic coast up near the state border with Georgia. It is a 5 hour drive from Atlanta, Georgia, a 2 hour drive from Orlando, and a 5 hour drive from Miami.

Your only real public transportation options to get to EverBank Stadium are not really “public” at all, but rather special shuttle buses tasked with ferrying fans out to the stadium.
