The House of Blues is a chain of live music halls/restaurants founded by actor Dan Ackroyd (star of The Blues Brothers film) in 1992 at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts that now has locations across the US and around the world. The original location at Harvard Square (which could accommodate just 180 visitors) closed in 2003 to make way for the current venue at Kenmore Square: House of Blues Boston (opened in 2009). Like its predecessor, House of Blues Boston has continued to lead the way in indie music, attracting top touring acts from all over the country as well as providing a stage for local up-and-coming bands and solo artists. Drinks and food are available, with a range of different smaller spaces allowing for more intimate gatherings such as banquets, receptions, or intimate live concerts.
House of Blues Boston gives music lovers in Massachusetts the opportunity to watch talented musicians and top bands from across the musical spectrum (it’s more than just the blues!) performing live. Artists have been drawn to perform at the House of Blues Boston due to its sold out crowds, reputation for excellence, and state of the art sound, acoustics, and lighting. Just a few of the many notable performers scheduled to perform in 2024 are:
・Mar 10 - Alkaline Trio: Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs The Tour
・Mar 14 - Dropkick Murphys
