Orpheum Theatre Wichita is a historic theater in downtown Wichita, Kansas, United States. Orpheum Theatre Wichita was among the earliest to incorporate elements of what later became known as the atmospheric style. Its design resembled a Spanish garden and courtyard, featuring a prominent 42 feet high by 40 feet wide proscenium arch as the focal point of the auditorium. The sidewalls were adorned with niches, mock tile roofs, grills, and wooden lattice arches across the ceiling, creating the ambiance of a courtyard. Additionally, Orpheum Theatre Wichita is a primary venue for the annual Tallgrass Film Festival and curates its own annual film series.
