Opened just over a hundred years ago in 1923, the Sunrise Theatre is a rare classic performance venue left over from the days of the Roaring Twenties. Despite being located in the little known town of Fort Pierce, it was considered at the time when it was built to be one of Florida’s biggest entertainment venues and showcased all kinds of plays, movies, and variety shows, as well as concerts, comedy shows, and speeches in its later years.
