Houndmouth is an alternative blues/rock band that formed in 2011 in New Albany, Indiana. After playing locally and in Kentucky, they were asked to play at the SXSW music festival in 2012, where they promoted their homemade EP. They were offered a contract shortly after that performance and were quickly named “Band of the Week” by The Guardian. Other publications named Houndmouth a “must-see” band when they performed at Lollapalooza in 2013. They were called effortless as a quartet. When the group released their second LP, they were asked to perform the single “Sedona” on Late Show with David Letterman as well as on Last Call with Carson Daly. Their fourth album has several videos attached to it that were filmed at one of the member’s houses.
