Yoasobi – handmade music full of truth & sincerity

Yoasobi has been performing as a duo since October 2019 – consisting of music producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Ikura. The roots of their joint music lie in Vocaloid; their compositions are a mix of pop, rock, and electronic. They pair this mood with content from poems, novels, and short stories and add a pinch of their own experiences and feelings.

The Japanese artists achieved their breakthrough with their first song, "Yoru ni Kakeru" (Racing into the Night), and went viral on YouTube. In total, they had over 50 million views in the first six months. The famous Youtuber TheAnimeMen even created a new video for the international hit:

Hatsune Miku – Manga Meets Synthetic Voice

Hatsune Miku has been known as a virtual pop sensation for the Vocaloid company Crypton Future Media since 2007 and is another entertaining artistic surprise at Coachella 2024. Since her debut, her global fans have been fascinated by the virtual singer. With the help of holographic performances and Vocaloid software, the 16-year-old manga character was given an unmistakable appearance. Her fans lovingly call her “Mikumiku” – the number 39 also has a special meaning. The utilization of the number 39 as a symbolic representation of Hatsune Miku is not a mere coincidence but a clever linguistic play embraced by Crypton Future Media, Inc., the innovative minds behind Miku's creation.

In the Japanese language, a unique feature allows words to be expressed as numbers, streamlining communication. The numbers 1–10 each have corresponding kanji characters with multiple readings. Notably, the number 3 is pronounced as "Mi (み)," and 9 as "Ku (く)," resulting in the combined pronunciation of "Miku" for 39.

Furthermore, an alternate pronunciation involves 3 as "San (さん)" and 9 as "Kyuu (きゅう)," forming "Sankyuu," a phonetic resemblance to the English expression "Thank you." This dual linguistic play contributes to the widespread adoption of 39 in association with Hatsune Miku.

Coachella attendees new to Miku should expect a groundbreaking fusion of technology and music, immersing themselves in a unique and futuristic pop experience. She will perform on April 13 and 20, 2024.

Atarashii Gakko! – Be True to Yourself

Atarashii Gakko is a Japanese idol band consisting of four female members: Suzuka, Kanon, Mizyu, and Rin. They have been performing together since 2015 – The girl band experienced international success with their song "Otonablue," which became a viral hit on social media in 2023.

Their uniqueness comprises eccentricity and honesty: they impress with innovative choreographies that captivate you. They want to break free from the ordinary, which doesn't mean that rules should be broken. They want to show their true selves and encourage their audience to break old patterns and do the same.
