Coachella 2025

Spread over two weekends in April in the Colorado Desert in Riverside County of Southern California, the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival offers a wonderful mix of rising stars and headliners from the musical world at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Lisa and Jennie from the K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK will both be making their Coachella solo debuts and another K-pop act, the rising group, ENHYPEN, will be gracing the Coachella stages for the first time making them the fastest K-pop boy band to make it to the iconic spring festival.

Japanese girl group XG—who are based in South Korea—will also be making their Coachella debuts (Sunday, April 13 and Sunday, April 20) so expect to hear their hits like Shooting Star, Howling, and Woke Up if you plan on attending.

The way the schedule is set up, there will be a K-pop group performing each of the six days. Headliners for Coachella 2025 will include Lady Gaga (April 11, 18), Green Day (April 11, 12, 18, 19), Post Malone (April 11, 13, 18, 20), Travis Scott (April 12, 19), Megan Thee Stallion (April 13, 20), and Charli XCX (April 12, 19).

What K-POP Groups are Going to Coachella?

After ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM, The Rose, and Peggy Gou took to the stage at Coachella 2024, the festival continues to embrace the electrifying energy of the South Korean wave with four incredible acts this time around.

In 2023, BLACKPINK made their Coachella debut with Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé thrilling the crowd. BLACKPINK ranks No. 1 on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 list and has been pegged as the “biggest girl group in the world.”

ENHYPEN, a seven-member boy band formed by Belift Lab in 2020 through the survival competition show I-Land, and XG, a seven-member girl group formed by Xgalx, will both be making their festival debuts here with ENHYPEN playing on both Saturdays and XG performing on both Sundays.

If we trace back to K-pop idols who brought glory to the Coachella stage, seven K-pop idols have previously graced the festival, exploring fame and marking their debut.

Who was the First K-POP Group to Perform at Coachella?

EE (Yun-joung Lee & Hyun-joon Lee) were the first Korean group to be invited to Coachella. BLACKPINK was the first K-pop group to headline the festival.

Coachella 2011

  • EE(Yun-joung Lee & Hyun-joon Lee), a South Korean duo, went down in history as the inaugural Korean music act on  April 16, 2011.

Coachella 2016

  • Epik High was the next group from Korea to grace the Coachella stage. The Hip hop trio delivering a setlist featuring hits like "Born Hater" and "Kill This Love."

Coachella 2019

  • Celebrating the BLACKPINK Coachella vibe, they went down in history as the first K-pop girl group to attend Coachella in 2019. HYUKOH and Jambinai also participated in the festival, performing on different dates.

Coachella 2022

  • The 2022 Coachella's first weekend was transformed into a K-pop haven. After six years, second-generation girl group 2NE1 graced the stage as a complete quartet, fulfilling their devoted Blackjacks' dreams. Leader CL kicked off the solo performance before reuniting with fellow members Dara, Bom, and Minzy.

  • Epik High, six years after their Coachella debut, made history as the first Korean group to return.

  • 88rising’s top stars took center stage, like Singer-songwriter BIBI, and iconic rapper Yoon Mirae who came together for a rendition of "The Weekend."

  • The heartthrob Jackson Wang swooned the audience with his spectacular stage energy, also marking as the first Chinese musician to enthrall the main Coachella stage.

  • Last but not least, fourth-generation K-pop girl group aespa made their first US live conquering audiences' and fans’ hearts with their electrifying set featuring "aenergy," "Black Mamba," "Savage," and "Next Level."

Coachella 2023

  • BLACKPINK made history again by becoming the first K-pop group to headline Coachella.

Coachella 2024

  • Last year, Coachella featured ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM, The Rose, and DJ, Peggy Gou, solidifying K-pop's presence on the festival's stage.
