Who Is Jelly Roll?
Jelly Roll was a rising star on the American music scene earlier this millennium and the Antioch, Tennessee native began his career in 2003 and gained notoriety in 2022 with the release of his popular singles Son of a Sinner and Need A Favor. Get to know more of Jelly Roll from below!

His last album, Whitsitt Chapel, made it to No. 1 on the Billboard US Rock and US Indie charts, was No. 2 on the Billboard US Country charts, No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and broke many Top Country Music records including the highest first-week release on the charts from a BBR Music Group Artists and Jelly Roll had the highest-selling first-week album for a new country artist in 2023.
When Does Jelly Roll’s New Album Drop?
The 10th Jelly Roll album, titled Beautifully Broken, will be out this Friday, October 11. It will be hard to follow up on the great success of Whitsitt Chapel, but with the momentum and critical acclaim, the Nashville country star has, it is extremely possible.
Much of that will depend on the quality of the material on Jelly’s Roll’s new album 2024 Beautifully Broken. On the Saturday Night Live season opener and Season 50 premiere at Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, he performed two of the new songs of that upcoming release, Liar and Winning Streak.

What Can We Expect From Jelly Roll’s Beautifully Broken
There are already four songs out now from Jelly Roll’s new album, Beautifully Broken, including the two aforementioned he performed on SNL on September 28. On June 12, 2024, the first lead single from the album, I Am Not Okay, was released.
On May 21 on the Season 25 finale of The Voice, Jelly Roll debuted the song I Am Not OK at the CMA Fest in his hometown of Nashville on June 8 and also on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM on June 12.
The second single off Beautifully Broken was the aforementioned Liar, and it was released on August 2. Jelly Roll first performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry on April 26 and told the Grand Ole Opry crowd he may never release it. But musical wisdom prevailed and it is one of the four tracks on the Jelly Roll album about to hit the streets.
The third single released was Get By and was put out to promote his new album and The Beautifully Broken Tour. The Grammy Award nominee’s song was selected by ESPN as the anthem for its 2024 College Football Season broadcasts.
Although still unreleased, the song Winning Streak made its debut on SNL, and coming off the heels of the Whitsitt Chapel, these four songs on the upcoming Jelly Roll album, that appearance SNL and the new tour underway, the future looks very bright for DeFord.
The final tracklist for Beautifully Broken has not been revealed, but we’ll all know later this week and expect record sales again and Jelly Roll might even top his impressive first-week numbers from Whitsitt Chapel. All net profits from sales from pre-orders of this album will go to various organizations that help people with addiction and mental health issues.
Is Jelly Roll Currently on Tour?
The Beautifully Broken Tour opened up on August 27 at the Delta Center—home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz—in Salt Lake City, Utah with Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay opening up for Jelly Roll. The tour supporting the Jelly Roll new album is scheduled to end at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on November 23.
Jelly Roll will also be doing a show at the Birds Nest at TPC of Scottsdale at the 2025 Coors Light Birds Nest at the WM Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, during Super Bowl 56 week.
