Born in Mamoru Fujisawa on December 6, 1950, he set his stage name "Joe Hisaishi," inspired by the American musician Quincy Jones.
Joe Hisaishi's work is famous for its emotional depth and beauty. He is also well-known for his long collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki, a filmmaker who assembled Studio Ghibli.
