Joe Hisaishi is a renowned composer and musical director from Japan. He gained fame through multiple successful works on the soundtracks of many of Studio Ghibli's animated films. Born in Mamoru Fujisawa on December 6, 1950, he set his stage name "Joe Hisaishi," inspired by the American musician Quincy Jones.
Joe Hisaishi's work is famous for its emotional depth and beauty. He is also well-known for his long collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki, a filmmaker who assembled Studio Ghibli. Many of Joe Hisaishi's contributions are incorporated in many successful films such as "My Neighbor Totoro," "Spirited Away," "Princess Mononoke," and many others.
