Malone’s latest release is F-1 Trillion and it came out on August 16, 2024 and was the rapper’s sixth studio album. Malone supported it with his F-1 Trillion Tour. The album has 18 songs on it and was a real departure for the artist whose previously released music was mostly a unique blend of Rap and Grunge.

Post Malone Country Album

Back in 2022 on The Howard Stern Show, host Stern asked Malone about the idea of possibly making a Country music album in the future. Malone replied "To be honest, there's nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to release] on YouTube. I'm allowed to do that. I'm a human being".

Two years later in 2024 and F-1 Trillion was done and the number of reputable Country artists featured on the album was mind-boggling. Besides current touring partners Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell, the release features guest appearances from Hank Williams Jr., Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Brad Paisley, Luke Shelton, Luke Combs, Hardy, and Lainey Wilson.

Malone told Billboard last month that a second Country album would be on the way and that he “made probably 35 songs” but that he wouldn’t be doing any of them on this current tour.

Post Malone Country Album Review

Reviews for F-1 Trillion were mixed with many critics liking the final product and others more skeptical of it really being a true Country music record. The website SavingCountryMusic.com was possibly a bit hard on Posty.

“(But) taken as a whole, F-1 Trillion is much more of a contemporary version of pop country than it is anything else, with committee-written songs, little heart, substance, or soul, and it misses the mark when it comes to really espousing the virtues of country music to a wider population, or even representing Post Malone’s influences from the country genre like it could have.”

The album made its first-week debut with 250,000 equivalent album units sold including some 80,000 in pure album sales. The deluxe release Long Bed had an impressive 212.86 million on-demand streams in its opening week.
