  • Entry Controls: Visitors are subject to security screening through metal detectors and visual inspections conducted by Van Andel Arena security staff.

  • Bags: Currently, the Venue adopts a No Bag Policy. There are strict limitations to the type of bags that can be carried in. Visitors should check current guidelines to ensure their bags meet entry requirements below

  • Cameras: Cameras may be permitted, but it is advisable to check the exact camera policy in advance. There may be restrictions on the type and size of cameras.

  • Optical devices: Guests are welcome to carry optical devices, but it is recommended to review the specific guidelines and potential limitations regarding their usage to prevent any issues during entry.

Van Andel Arena Bag Policy

Van Andel Arena currently has a No Bag policy so make sure you adhere to the following rules:

  • No bags, backpacks, or purses

  • Small clutches no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” x 2” allowed

  • Bags for medical and parenting needs allowed

    • Bags will be screened by security personnel

    • Guests with such bags must enter through the ADA/Box office entrance on the far west side of the main entrance

Please note that the terrace level may be closed for some events.

To borrow a sensory thing, please visit Guest Services on the arena concourse near Section 104, and a valid photo ID will be required for the checkout process.
