Gipsy Kings, originally called Los Reyes, is a band formed in France in 1979. The members are of Catalan heritage and play a blend of salsa, flamenco, pop, and Catalan rumba music. The group members were born in France, but their parents were all gitanos, or Spanish Romani who fled Spain in the 30s during the Civil War.
