First constructed in 1975, the Long Beach Road Course is a temporary street circuit that runs through the Los Angeles County city of Long Beach, California (think Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre).
In its nearly 50 years, the Long Beach Road Course has been a notable motorsports venue, beginning as the home of a Formula 1 Grand Prix race that lasted until 1984 before it changed over to an IndyCar Series race, which has remained more or less ever since, making the Long Beach Grand Prix the longest-running road race in North America. The current race format consists of 85 laps of the 1.968 mile (3.167 km) Long Beach Road Course. Do not miss your chance to be there trackside at the Long Beach Road Course this April to watch the world’s best drivers battle it out at the 2024 Long Beach Grand Prix! As a temporary street circuit, the Long Beach Road Course does not host other events during the year as it is only built up immediately prior to the Long Beach Grand Prix and is then dismantled right after. However, the 2023 Long Beach Grand Prix was accompanied by a big concert featuring the Kings of Chaos and many others. Performers for the 2024 Long Beach Grand Prix concerts (Friday and Saturday nights!) include Gretchen Wilson, Eddie Montgomery, David Lee Murphy, SIXWIRE, and Ape Drums.
With its prime location near the city of Los Angeles (where the cars on the roads, er, move quite a bit slower most of the time), the Long Beach Road Course is well known for attracting huge crowds for the Long Beach Grand Prix. Racing fans from across North America and around the world will be converging on Los Angeles and Long Beach, creating a superb atmosphere on race day. High demand for tickets, however, means that tickets can quickly sell out. For your best shot at the cheapest tickets to the Long Beach Grand Prix, put your trust in TicketX!
