Lansing, Michigan is home to the emo band Hot Mulligan. The band became active in 2015 when they released two EPs through a Michigan label. They re-released one of those EPs with a larger label in 2017. Their first full-length album was released in 2018, and their second came out in 2020. They switched labels again, and their third album came out in 2023. Their touring bassist officially joined as a full member last year, and they continued to release singles. Their current members include Nathan Sanville, also known as “Tades”, Chris Freeman, Ryan Malicsi, sometimes called “Spicy,” Brandon Blakeley, and Jonah Kramer, who they call “Fantasy Camp.” Six others have cycled through as members over the years. Hot Mulligan played its first show in 2015 in Michigan, and by 2019, they were touring the U.S. and Canada. They took on a European tour in 2022 and went to Australia last year.
