Phil Wickham is a contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader based in San Diego, California. He has released fourteen albums, starting in 2003 through 2025. In 2014, his song “This is Amazing Grace” topped the end-of-year Christian Airplay charts. Wickham’s musical talents weren’t a shock, as both of his parents played in praise bands throughout his childhood. He started leading worship for his youth group at 13, and his parents encouraged him to write songs of his own. He graduated from Calvary Christian School in 2002 and started his full-time music career with a tour of California. He put out his first album in 2003, then got signed and released his self-titled debut album. He visits churches all around the world and has also played at Christian worship festivals. Wickham had surgery in 2014 to remove a polyp from his vocal cords. He had to rest his voice with silence and was unsure if he would be able to sing again. But he released another album in 2016! Wickham married Mallory Plotnik in 2008, and the couple has four children.
