Home Teams: Houston Rockets (NBA)
Having just passed two decades of existence, the Toyota Center is still waiting for its turn to see the Houston Rockets win an NBA Championship. The stadium’s predecessor, Compaq Center, witnessed the evolution of Houston from “Choke City” to “Clutch City” in the mid-1990s, when Hakeem “the Dream” Olajuwon led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA titles in 1994 and 1995. The Toyota Center plays host to every Rockets home game, regular season and playoffs (if they get there…), as well as a full slate of concerts, cultural events, and other sporting competitions. Toyota Center has excellent dining options and a variety of shops where you can peruse team and event merchandise.
All games and events at the Toyota Center boast a wide range of different seating options. Premium seating areas such as floor seats or box seats are available, as are seats in the upper tier for those looking for cheaper tickets. Have a look on TicketX to see which tickets are available for your game or event at Toyota Center and use our seating chart to explore various seating options.
Visitors can access the Toyota Center via public transportation or driving their own vehicle.
If you are in downtown Houston, you can use the METRORail to get to Toyota Center. Outside the city center, you will be limited to buses or rideshares. Another option is taking a taxi to the venue.
You can drive your own vehicle to the Toyota Center, but be aware that traffic in Houston can often grind to a standstill, especially near the venue on game and event days. Plan to arrive early at the Toyota Center, just to be on the safe side.
Yes, on-site parking is available at the Toyota Center in its dedicated parking garage (2500 spaces), but this facility is only open to passholders on Houston Rockets game days. There are approximately 10,000 parking spaces in nearby neighborhoods within an easy walk of the venue. Check the Toyota Center's official website for more information on parking and accessing the venue by car or use SpotHero to help you reserve and pre-pay for a parking space.
Parking at the Toyota Tundra Garage is $15 during events and games. Off-site parking is also quite cheap, ranging from $4-25 even on game days. Check Toyota Center's official website for more details on parking rates or use SpotHero to reserve and pre-pay for a parking space.
